LOVE.

Love is a skill you learn.

Love is a thought, a feeling, an action, and a result.

“Love your neighbor (the people in your life: family, friends, strangers) as yourself.”

We must know love to offer love.

We practice loving.

To live a life of unconditional love, we must believe we are loved, know we are worthy, know we are enough, receive God’s love for us. Allow His love to heal our souls. Then live offering His love flowing through us to other people. God’s power in us strengthens us to know love and offer love to others well.

We practice loving. We practice receiving love. We practice offering love.

We renew our minds on God’s TRUTH. His Truth about His love for us. His Truth about our value. His Truth about who we are. His Truth about the Holy Spirit’s power in us.

We choose to think loving thoughts. About everything and everyone.

We choose love.

We create love be believing in and receiving God’s love for us, letting it sink deep in our souls. We create love with our thoughts. The more we create the more we experience it. It takes discipline and intention. Love requires work.

When we don’t “feel” love… it doesn’t mean we are doing “it” wrong… it means we are not good at it yet… we practice loving… we practice receiving love… we practice generating love with our thoughts… we develop the skill of offering unconditional love… it is an on-going practice.

We practice. We learn. We develop. We get better at it.

Loving is not trying to “fix” someone. Loving is accepting and celebrating people just as they are.

The first step is learning to love ourselves. Learning to accept and celebrate ourselves as we are.

Choosing to love yourself, your body, your life, your work, your circumstances by thinking loving thoughts. We choose what we think. We decide to renew our minds on God’s Truth about us and slowly over time we are transformed.

We choose love. We receive love. We practice love. We live it out.

When we live from God’s love flowing through us no one else has to change for us to love them.

Love is about us, our thoughts about the people in our lives. “Unconditional love creates something beautiful in us regardless of what it does for the other person.”

Unconditional love is about agreeing with God about what He says about us. Receiving His Truth as true for us then sharing His love with others.

God increases our capacity to love others as we implant His word in our hearts, as we live in and from His love for us.

We can only ever control how we show up, how we think, how we act. When we drop our expectations of others and focus on the only thing we can change, ourselves, our lives are transformed.

We must practice awareness of our thoughts. We must pay attention to our words and actions. We must choose to stop living from a place of comparison, of judgment, of expectation.

We ask God to help us know His love and lavish His love on others in meaningful and tangible ways.

We can ask ourselves, what does love look like? How would love show up? What feels loving? Then do those things.

We decide to generate love with our thoughts and then share that love with others.

Love is large and incredibly patient. Love is gentle and consistently kind to all. It refuses to be jealous when blessing comes to someone else. Love does not brag about one’s achievements nor inflate its own importance. Love does not traffic in shame and disrespect, nor selfishly seek its own honor. Love is not easily irritated or quick to take offense. Love joyfully celebrates honestly and finds no delight in what is wrong. Lis is a safe place of shelter, for it never stops believing the best for others. Love never takes failure as defeat, for it never gives up. Love never stops loving. 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 TPT

Delightfully loved one, if He loved us with such tremendous love, then “loving one another” should be our way of life! No one has ever gazed upon the fullness of God’s splendor. But if we love one another, God makes His permanent home in us, and we make our permanent home in Him, and His love is brought to its full expression in us. 1 John 4:11-12 TPT

We have come into an intimate experience with God’s love, and we trust in the love He has for us. God is love! Those who are living in love are living in God, and God lives through them. 1 John 4: 16

God loves us as we are!!! He accepts us as we are! He knows we will make mistakes. He is always ready and willing to pick us up when we fall, clean us off, and comfort our hurts. He is always waiting for us to turn to Him, and/or return to Him, and/or ask Him for His help. He is always offering us grace! He wants to lavish His love on us in meaningful ways to us! He wants us to know His goodness and grace! He wants us to know love. He wants us to enjoy our lives with all its ups and downs. He is making us and molding us into His image through all of it. Always.

Nothing has gone wrong. All shall be well.

We have trained ourselves to be a certain way for so long that our reactions feel out of our control. It feels like they just happen whether we want them to or not. We trained ourselves to react the way we do so we must train ourselves to respond a new way. This begins by practicing awareness. Creating a pause between circumstance and response. Noticing what we are thinking and doing.

We will not always get it right. We are human. We must be onto our brains and what our brain offers us and replace the lies it offers with TRUTH. We practice being kind to ourselves in our humanness! We practice self-compassion. We are willing to allow all our feelings and not make ourselves wrong. We accept grace and then can offer grace more easily.

We are never going to get to a place where we no longer need God.

We learn to live more into our humanity.

We practice. We believe.

We keep seeking and discovering and becoming! Don’t give up!

I pray that He would unveil within you the unlimited riches of His glory and favor until supernatural strength floods your innermost being with His divine might and explosive power. Then, by constantly using your faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside you, and the resting place of His love will become the very source and root of your life. Then you will be empowered to discover what every holy one experiences – the great magnitude of the astonishing love of Christ in all its dimensions. How deeply intimate and far-reaching is His love! Endless beyond measurement that transcends our understanding – this extravagant love pours into you until you are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God! Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed you wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for His miraculous power constantly energizes you. Now we offer up to God all the glorious praise that rises from every church in every generation through Jesus Christ – and all that will yet be manifest through time and eternity. Amen! Ephesians 3: 16-21 TPT
