What I hope my boys know.

Believe in You! Believe in what God says about you. Practice believing.

Be kind to yourself. Tell yourself a good story. What you believe determines how you behave.

You have more power than you realize. You have the power to choose what you think. The power to choose what you tell yourself. The power to choose what you make what the other person says or does mean.

You can learn to rest in God. Rest in His love for you. Regardless of what anyone else says or does. Practicing believing!

Don’t compare yourself. Learn to see and appreciate your goodness. Be your own best friend. Realize God’s love for you – believe it! Practice believing! He cares deeply for you.

Chaos is part of life. Bad, unfair things happen. Don’t give up!

Everything is exactly as it should be because this is how it is. Nothing has gone wrong. Accept reality.

We often expect too much. Expectations kill relationships. Accept others as they are. Speak life!

What are you believing about God? We must trust God, what He says. We must read His word to know what He says.

What are you creating for yourself? Your choices become your life.

Be aware of unconscious negativity. We are often speaking unkindly to ourselves or telling ourselves a bad story with our thoughts. Practice awareness. Be onto your brain. Choose to be positive, hopeful, speak Truth over your life. God will enable, equip, and empower you in whatever He calls you to.

It’s okay to doubt, to question, to ask for and seek Truth. To seek to understand, not to “be right,” but to experience God.

Find comfort in God’s Word. In the Psalms. We must repeat God’s Truth in our life to overcome the lies of this world.

It is an on-going process.

We do not eliminate the unwanted thoughts – we learn that we do not have to dwell on them. We take the unwanted thoughts captive. We renew our mind on Truth. We choose our thoughts intentionally.

Listen. Seek. Read. Discover.

God believes in you. Satan doesn’t want you to believe in yourself. God equips, enables, and empowers us! We ask Him to help, and He supplies. God is Provider, believe in His abundance! Often He supplies, provides not the way we expect. We can learn to just be open to receive whatever He gives. Practice receiving!

We must learn to accept our humanity. Not beat ourselves up for it. God expands our capacity. Activates His miracles in our life. As we trust Him. As we implant His Word in our lives.

What we look for we will see. Look for God!

God will provide wisdom, insights, through books, sermons, podcasts, songs, movies, tv shows, anywhere because God is in all things.

Practice being thankful. Start small if you need to. Thankful for waking up, breathing, food, shelter, clothes. Start where you are. Acknowledge, okay this is where I am, how do I move forward well from here? What are my values? What do I want in life? What is the right next step? Based on my experience, my current circumstances and my future hopes and dreams, what is the wise thing to do? – Andy Stanly book

Have a mantra, or a manifesto. Write it down. Remind yourself. Keep it before you.

Cultivate love. Live in integrity. Live in LOVE, not fear. Trust God.

The world has always been chaotic. Stay rooted, grounded, centered in God! God will provide you what you need if you are asking Him and anticipating Him to provide.

You are loved! You are enough! Your worth and value are in Jesus Christ who loves you completely! You are a child of God! You are loved by The King! You are filled with the Holy Spirit! You are filled with grace and power!

Keep seeking and discovering!
