We are God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved! This is who we are in Christ! We must remember and believe it! Practice believing until we believe. Think. Act. Believe as if you were and you will become.
As we know our truth; being loved by God. Rooted, grounded, centered in Him, then God does the work of changing us as we seek, rely on, and trust Him.
We keep failing forward. Doing our intentional, internal work. Acknowledging and accepting our humanness. And not beating ourselves up about it.
Practice having faith!
21 Jesus turned to the father and asked, “How long has your son been tormented like this?” “Since childhood,” he replied. 22 “It tries over and over to kill him by throwing him into fire or into the water. But please, if you’re able to do something, anything—have compassion on us and help us!” 23 Jesus said to him, “What do you mean ‘if’? If you are able to believe, all things are possible to the believer.” 24 When he heard this, the boy’s father cried out with tears, saying, “I do believe, Lord; help my little faith!” Mark 9:21-24 TPT
This should be our prayer: “I do believe, Lord; help my little faith!”
As I read through the Gospel of Matthew (NIV) recently, I couldn’t help but notice how many times Jesus mentions people’s faith or belief.
Matthew 8:10 “such great faith”
Matthew 8:13 “let it be done just as you believed it would”
The opposite, Matthew 8:23-27 “you of little faith, why are you so afraid?”
Matthew 9:2 “when Jesus saw their faith”
Matthew 9:21-22 “if I only touch His cloak, I will be healed” … “your faith has healed you”
Matthew 9:27-29 “Do you believe I am able to do this?” … “According to your faith let it be done to you.”
Matthew 15:28 “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.”
Oh, may we be found exercising our faith muscle, growing in our belief in God’s provision and abundance in all things! And seeing and experiencing His miracles! Amen.
