inside job.

We often want outside circumstances to validate us, but actually we need to be validating ourselves; finding our strength within ourselves, learning to let go of expectations, internalizing God’s love, and knowing our worth and value in Him!

I must tell myself I did a good job, that the work I am doing is meaningful, that my worth and value are in Jesus Christ!

NO MATTER WHAT SOMEONE ELSE SAYS OR THINKS!

I must cheer myself on! I must believe in me!

When we expect our validation to come from other people, it’ll never be enough, it’ll never be from the right people, it won’t be frequent enough, etc.

We must have our own backs. Be responsible for ourselves. Be responsible for our choices, our words, our emotions.

We decide!

We choose how we think, which gives us our power!

And thanks be to the Holy Spirit inside us helping us choose well!!!

I read one day in Jesus Calling, “My Spirit, who lives within you, helps you to think My thoughts. As your thinking goes, so goes your entire being.”

One day in The Beloved devotional it says, “You have to claim your own inner truth. … Your being good and worthy of love does not depend on any human being. You have to keep saying to yourself: ‘I am being loved by an unconditional, unlimited love and that love allows me to be a free person, center of my own actions and decision.'”

Make God the utmost delight and pleasure of your life,
and he will provide for you what you desire the most. Psalm 37:4 TPT

having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, Ephesians 1:18 ESV

Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law. Psalm 119:18 ESV
